People around the world in this Internet age are confused, helpless and mislead for shopping in their local area and places they go to for B2C (Business to consumers) shopping. Today, people are taught by the experiences to be wise on shopping. They think of using things economically and to it's maximum.
However, the guidance is not good enough. There are few Internet groups who are on the process of giving the right information. However, none succeeds to make this a reality. Internet users find it difficult to locate a local product or service provider called as local merchants. They loose time, money, energy to locate a local merchant as the information is rarely available, not available, poor quality, not accessible, etc., therefore giving a huge waste to the economy.
Let's examine how they loose all these mentioned. Take a professional who is into medicine, software, etc., If he needs a good carpenter, he has to spend time to inquire at many places, which are connected to it or not. This consumes his precious time. Money spend on the fuel, his energy. All these, which are very important for his official and private life. Therefore leading to wastage. And the final out come might be good or bad.
We are committed to the environment, profession, society to help each other and eliminate waste which lead to disasters. I remember years ago, when my mother used to send me to buy groceries and vegetables. She used to give me a bag. I get to the right place, as olden days, people knew things through word of mouth and know exact locations, people help each other giving correct directions. Whatever I get is packed with used news paper.
Today, nothing happens well like in the olden times. Getting to a store may not give what I am looking for, would have to check in different stores, losing precious time, money, energy. And when I receive it, it's packed in plastics, which causes pollution. Buying anything without them might cause health issues and might be low quality. Today in this busy world, everyone gets busy and selfish which causes all these problems. And everyone is helpless.
A traveler, tourist or a floating population who is new to a city or town has a tough time locating what they wanted. There are few ways to resolve these issues. Good on line yellow pages, search engine, guide, community, etc., on Internet might solve this issue to an extent to the needy shoppers. The correct use of Internet would help people today who are using it as a part of their life.
There were times when people used to buy products and services paying more than the real cost, wait for several days to receive it which is shipped out to them. Sometimes they receive low quality ones. Which is again another wastage causing low quality of life and pollution. I remember, couple of years back, buying through Internet was expensive, time consuming and might not be reliable. It was much better and convenient to get them local. It has changed after the upcoming of few competitive and intelligent web sites, this issue has come down to an extend.
Many cities and towns around the world have beautiful and precise information on the local merchants who deals with products and services on Internet. And some of them give deep description on them. There are few of them who give the best ones in the city. Most of them are by the web site owners and their employees, few are from their users. Few search engines used to give good information on local merchants some time back. Now a days, most of them have become real Internet search engines. Therefore searching with the right keywords on the search engines get the better results.
Today local merchants who are good at Internet or not are finding effective means of advertising, to reach the needy shoppers who search for B2C products and services in their city or town. There is a huge channel which is like a missing link of a chain to reach each other. Let us hope that this missing link is fixed and be at least like the olden golden days.
