Saving Money - How to Find the Best Deals by Rana Burr
Most people, when they go to buy something, like to shop around to make sure they are getting the best deal. However, this can be very time-consuming, not to mention frustrating. With the rise of group buying power, though, it seems to be getting easier to save money.
There are plenty of these "members-only" showrooms around--Sam's Club, BJ's, and Costco to name few. We joined all of them. We even looked into Direct Buy, but their high-pressured sales presentation was a huge turn-off, as were all of the customer complaints we read on the internet.
Then we found out about the benefits package offered by the National Companies. The membership fee was about half of what Direct Buy charges upfront, with no renewal fee whatsoever.
One of the best areas of savings we found was in the factory direct furniture. We typically pay about 1/3 of what we can find in the store, while shopping for name brand, high quality furniture. We can even send in a picture of what we want and they will find it for us.
Another area of great savings is in jewelry. There is an incredible mark-up on jewelry in jewelry and department stores. The National Companies has contracted with a major supplier to deliver the highest quality of fine jewelry at the absolute lowest prices. As with the furniture, if there is something specific we want, they will get it for us.
We have found that our automotive purchases are a lot less stressful with our benefits package. Whereas before we had no idea when we were really getting the best deal, now we have a pre-negotiated price which usually comes in thousands less than what we were offered previously.
The neatest thing about our package is that it not only covers me and my husband, but also both sets of parents, grandparents, children, and grandchildren. Plus, if we owned a business, it would also cover up to 5 employees (there is a way to cover more if needed).
We are very satisfied customers.
