David Archuleta Tour 2009 - Highlights from San Antonio and Tempe! (3/ ... | |

This is a video with a SMALL number of all the amazing things that happened to me on March 12 and March 16. Curse YouTube and its 10 minute limit. LOL.
The first thing I should mention is how Alex (the bass player in David's band) became so...vital to me. Don't know how to describe it. LOL It started off in San Antonio. It was quite simple. After the concert, we were promised by the venue manager that David wasn't coming out. So we started to drive off, but I asked my dad if he'd drive by the barricade one last time just to check. (because there were still people waiting) While driving by, I spotted Alex and freaked out. HE KNEW DAVID! (lol) So we rushed out of the car and the first thing I ask him is, "Could you do me a favor? Could you give these to David for me?" I had a card and a bracelet that I had been dying to get to David for months. Alex replies, "Sure! I can give him anything you want!" (LOL) I thanked him and we posed for a picture. I told him I loved his shirt. (woot for the creation of the Green Bunny Shirt Inside Joke. It's not really a joke..Just something between us. LOL) And I told him that he was a great dancer! (Woot for the creation of the "DANCE FOR ME" hooplah...) I didn't get to see David. But seeing Alex really helped me stay happy! In Tempe, during the long hours of waiting outside, some of David's band would come out every now and then to chat/sign autographs/take pictures, etc. When Alex came out, I was so excited. LOL. I went up to him to get another picture and I was like, "I saw you in San Antonio! You were so awesome! I loved your bunny shirt!" and then later I asked, "Will you dance for me tonight?" He enthusiastically agreed. Later that night, before the concert, I was beginning to think that maybe Alex would have forgotten my request, or my face. So I ran to the car and found my notebook, quickly scribbling a cheap-looking sign on a sheet of notebook paper: "I *heart* ALEX! - DANCE FOR ME!" When we finally got into the venue, I was happy with our location. We were in the front, on the side of the stage where Alex always played. At one point, he walked across the stage to do something, before anything had started, and I freaked out. "ALEX! ALEX!" He glanced over and I pointed at my wimpy little sign. He laughed and did a little dance right then. LOL. I knew I'd started something. =D Alex never stopped dancing the entire time once the concert got started. I actually had a problem trying to decide whether to watch him or David! haha! During "Touch My Hand" when he was dancing, he kept looking at me, and I'd scream! We had soo much eye-contact the entire time! When David introduced the band, I was screaming super loud before he even said Alex's name. And when Alex had his moment of glory, he pointed straight at me and nodded while I held up my sign, which even made David laugh! By the end of the show, we had moved on from eye-contact. It had gotten to blowing kisses and gestures of "I love you". rofl. =D When the show was finally over, I waited at the stage until the crew began to pick up the setlists and give them to fans. I successfully screamed and jumped enough to get handed Alex's list. =D -woot- Afterwards, when we were leaving, I was kind of surprised to see Alex already off the stage signing autographs. Obviously, I had to stop. I went up to him to get ANOTHER picture. And we were just kinda hanging out like buddies. It was awesome. He held up my sign for a picture and was shocked to see his setlist in my hands. He autographed it and was about to hand it to me when he suddenly bent back down...and drew a heart around his name! (AWW!) Right before leaving the venue, I was able to give him what I called a "montage drawing"...LOL. During the long day, I had taken out some paper and drew/colored a page filled with Alex-related things...His name and hearts and a few "YOU ROCK"s and "#1 FAN"s and all that jazz. My favorite part of the drawing was the picture of the bunny from his green shirt in San Antonio. LOL. I studied the picture from SA to make it authentic. He laughed a lot when I gave it to him and said that he promised to keep it forever. =D LOL. So yes. I have somewhat of a "relationship" with Alex Rowe. The best bass player/dancer on the earth. -- I ♥ you, Alex! --
Wow...That's a lot of words. I wonder how many people actually read all that? LOL
SUBSCRIBE! =D more videos from tour to come....
UPDATE (4.4.09): Alex Rowe, the amazingest dude ever, POSTED A COMMENT ON MY MYSPACE LAST WEEK! Not joking! He said: "Hey #1 fan. Nice pics you sent. I love em all. If I could get you an extra bunny shirt I would do it. I love that one too. Everyone has loved that awesome drawing you did for me too! I am your #1 fan." HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! I'm so glad he remembers me! Ahh! -dies-
